Little Besty's mother wasn't the sharpest knife in the drawer, as a matter of fact, she thought the telephone ringing was the door bell! Everytime the phone rang, she sent poor little Betsy to the front door! Now, Betsy knew her mother was batty, but she was raised to eat her raisin bran and never question her mother's odd orders.
