Now I am posting this news here becuse BIG does not seem to have a thread - They are drilling POGO area also - This area was often thought to be the next big play. We shall see International Bravo Resource Corp - Int'l Bravo drilling to commence in Alaska International Bravo Resource Corp BIG Shares issued 12,577,493 2000-08-01 close $0.18 Wednesday Aug 2 2000 Mr. Lawrence Page reports A diamond drill rig has been mobilized to International Bravo's East Divide property in the Pogo district, Alaska. Drilling is expected to commence by Aug. 7 to test a newly confirmed gold discovery in the Pogo area. Three holes are planned in the initial series. International Bravo announced July 25 that a just-completed surface program identified numerous subparallel gold bearing sheeted quartz vein systems, three of which have yielded impressive gold results. One sheeted quartz vein system assayed 9.63 grams gold per tonne (g/t) over a thickness of 10 metres (0.31 ounces per ton over 32.8 feet) followed by a sample that assayed 1.71 g/t over 10 metres. The 20-metre thick zone has a weighted average of 5.67 g/t gold over 20 metres (0.18 ounces per ton Au over 65.6 feet). The overall system of sheeted quartz veins, measuring approximately 250 metres wide by 500 metres long and remaining open along strike, contains east-west trending steeply dipping vein zones varying from a few metres to over 30 metres thick within intrusive rocks. Parallel and to the south of the zone that assayed 9.63 g/t Au over 10 metres, a second zone was sampled over a length of 100 metres with three evenly spaced chip samples assaying 2.63 g/t Au over 10 metres, 1.61 g/t Au over 18 metres and 1.50 g/t Au over 16 metres, respectively. A third parallel zone further to the south yielded assays of 2.51 g/t gold over eight metres with individual narrow veins assaying to 5.77 g/t gold. Gold mineralization is associated with silver, copper and bismuth values, a similar geochemical signature to the mineral assemblage at the nearby Pogo deposit.
