Gene,

Here are two initial questions/observations to which I would appreciate a response. They involve Level I indications in active markets.

Stock #1: The market takes off one way or the other, and the bid/ask price far outstrips the print. Sooner or later the print catches up with the bid/ask. I see this every day on Stock #1.

Stock #2: The market takes off one way or the other, and the print far outstrips the bid/ask price. Sooner or later the bid/ask catches up with the print. I see this every day on Stock #2.

Both Stocks, especially the second, are sometimes the volume leaders on the Nasdaq.

What is happening? How do the bid/ask and the print get posted on Level I?? Thanks for your response. How can I, as a day trader or swing trader, know which quote to believe when I buy/sell positions, both stock and options?

If you would like to see this occur, let me know and I will PM you the actual stocks.

Sam
