Thanks for the info. BRCM seems ripe for a split.

I have liked the way BRCM's management hasn't relied on splits to juice the stock, but, given the addition to the S&P and some potential needs for future acquisitions: I would put the odds for a 4:1 split at roughly 7 to 1; odds for a 3:1 split at 3.5 to 1; and odds for a 2:1 split at even money.

Any other people thinking about split potential for BRCM?

P.S. The Fed is done for 2000. Next big debate on the rate front will be for a 25 basis point decrease. Just remember, you heard it here first.

With the jobs report and all indicators pointing up:

I would suggest, although with due deference to CBK, that shorts cover.

I covered shorts on RMBS, TERN, TUTS and EK yesterday. Hopefully, it will work out to be a good decision - I will know by the end of the day today.

Cheers to all, Keith
