Maybe they figured out how to bank subs the way MSFT has been using deferred income to pull into the current quarter if they see a shortfall coming.

They figured we were going down anyway this summer so they figured why not show a shortfall now. They've been banking subs somewhere and they'll pull them out of their hat at the year end and we will applaud them as heroes.

Second thought.....naw, they wouldn't be that clever.
