Intel.....

In a move to strengthen their networking chips product portfolio, Intel has snapped up communications software developer, Trillium Digital Systems for cash and stock valued around $300 mln. The deal reaffirms Intel's long-time strategy of growth and product development through acquisition and also validates Intel's continued push into the communications and networking IC

yeah, one of the nice things about Intel being the pushy, overgrown gorilla that it has been the past decade, is the $10-12 billion in cash it has perpetually sitting around in the bank, collecting interest and otherwise being put to work. With cash, intellect, and determination, Intel ought to be able to have its way in the chip sector whenever it wants.
