Re: Will AMD be a good buy at $50?

Well, let's see. AMD has earnings per share of $2.36 for the most recent 6 months. It's a fast growing tech so anything below a P/E of 25 should make it a very good buy. So any price below $118 is a very good buy. At a P/E of 40 or $189, it would be a hold.

Now let's look at Rambus. Rambus has earnings per share of 0.19 for the last six months (well, it's actually a huge loss, but that's due to a "one time" raid by the management so they could fill their pockets, so we won't include it). Rambus is also a fast growing tech so we'll also give it a P/E of 25. So any price below $9.50 is a very good buy. At at P/E of 40, or $15, it would be a hold.

:-)
