But no I Tom Pabst is not going to send you back the one I have which failed. Given the extensive smear campaign emabarked upon by Ru Paul and friends, I think Tom is wise to keep his 1.13a very close for now. It is quite clear that the cult of Intel revels in character and reputation assassination. If there actually is a bug, this won't matter. But, if the problem turns out to be shoddy and rushed one-upmanship leading to the sending of a defective part, Intel will do its damndest to make Tom, rather than itself, look dumb. -Eric

If he did, Intel could use a layer stripback technique, and peel the microprocessor layers back one by one, and determine what is wrong. Of course, it's not Tom's responsibility to assist intel in finding out what's wrong, and I can understand his desire not to help, based on the personal difficulties he's had with intel in the past.... But.... I've lead quite a few mission based teams, to resolve issues and problems, and it always annoys me when I have someone on that team, that all they do is sit there, and bitch, moan, and complain, about how things are, yet when you ask them for ideas or help, they can't, or they won't. I am always tempted to say...... "Well, if you're not willing to help make the situation better, than the LEAST you can do, is sit there, and SHUT THE HELL UP". Are you listening Tom? :-) SemiconEng
