shortages that are 'not a secret' are usually myths...created by the industry that tends to profit from the shortage.

consider the PGM shortage in contrast - everybody knows it exists too, but it has this underlying consensus that Russia can and will, relieve it any day now.

the DRAM shortage has as its underlying consensus the strength of demand....
