Good points. A truly great leader's best talent is the ability to delegate effectively. No one could do the job of POTUS all by him/herself. JLA

You are basically right, but you should not underestimate Reagan by supposing that his judgment ended with the choice of advisors. Frequently, there was disagreement among those advisors, and Reagan had to make the final call. He generally did a very good job in weighing the arguments and making a decision based upon the available data. Also, his ability to lead extended beyond being able to deliver a speech. He exuded steadiness, confidence, patriotism, and the simple dignity of his office. He was the President.....Dubya does not convey the same stature, but he does convey decency and competence, one feels that he will handle the Presidency with care, and return it to the people better than he found it. That is enough........
