It looks to me like the new investor wants to fill its other tires by draining more air from the PPOD tire. As long as PPOD is a stand alone company I think that strategy is suspect, but you are right that it might prop up PPOD stock for a time.

When PPOD first came out I thought it was a neat idea. I tried to convince my wife (who doesn't like online stuff) that we should use it and she just wouldn't, even though she is busier than I am. I just don't see groceries as a natural high volume product for an online service, in part because people too busy to shop are often the same people too busy to cook. When we eat at home the lady who works for us is usually the one who cooks, and she goes and shops for us too. Involves even less of our time than an online service would.

I agree that if the business survives it will be because it appeals to the customer of high margin products who is not price sensitive. At 2 bucks a share it may be worth a shot.
