A little convention floor humor:

The head of the Minnesota Republicans took a shot at Gov. Jesse Ventura on Tuesday night as the state's delegation officially cast their votes for president: Texas Gov. George W. Bush got 33 of the state's 34 votes.

The announcement came from Ron Eibensteiner of Minneapolis, the state's party chair.

"Mr. Chairman, from the great state of Minnesota, the land of 10,000 lakes and one goofy governor, we are pleased to announce that this fall Minnesota voters will choose a Republican for president for the first time in 28 years.
