The Internet retailer can turn a profit, analysts say - really. Here's how

Murali,

Thank you for the article.

One petpieve of mine is the amount of inaccuracies in reports by columnists and analysts. I know the analysts cannot be held accountable for incorrectly calling the future of a company. Excuses may be management did not execute, competitive landscape changed, etc. However, current facts should be accurate. For example, Amzon does not have 22.5 million customers. Apparently, since their existance, they had 22.5 million people register. I have been through the issue some have died, show elsewhere, etc. Secondly, the money spent by Amzon for the distribution centers was only the leasehold improvements. Amazon does not own the distribution centers. They only own some of the equipment inside whaich has marginal value. One only needs to look at the blance sheet to see what assets Amazon has.

I would like to be able to hold the analysts and columnists accountable for accuracys for known facts but I can't:-(
