Since our last issue, we have seen the approval of the Digital Signature Bill - a major event in the history of e-commerce & e- business - which enables both enterprises and individuals to move into the e-economy armed with the ability to authenticate transactions without compromising privacy and integrity.
This approval completely underlines the importance of e|security across the globe - instantly giving digital signature technology the same recognition as the more traditional, tangible methods. The Digital Signature Bill will springboard the use of PKI systems across the Internet, Extranet and the Enterprise. Analysts predict that by 2003, PKI will be used in over 98% of organizations, and we at Baltimore Technologies, together with our network of TrustedWorld partners are leading the way in making this happen.
On July 10, Baltimore Technologies provided the e|security technology for Ireland's President - Mary MacAleese - to digitally sign the new Irish Electronic Commerce Bill.
