RE: "OT - Amy - Is there some sort of virtue in having a working wife?"

Hi Willcousa,

Is there some sort of virtue in having nearly all VPs with stay-at-home-wives?

Diversity can be a virtue. Having a company where hypothetically 95% of the VPs have stay-at-home wives, may possibly introduce a lack of diversity in thinking on logistical issues. A hypothetical example could be a never-ending lack of awareness like: oh, my stay-at-home-wife always takes care of that for me, so I never thought of how my work-place assumptions were incorrect. A VP's overall awareness can be negatively impacted when they move in circles which only fit their profile.

RE: "I have one but wish neither of us were working. Where does that leave me?"

Probably a lot smarter than the rest of us who enjoy working.

Regards,
Amy J
