Could that possibly be because Intel is three times bigger than the nearest competitor? They are just about that vs. TI, although one of the Japanese companies or Samsung is #2 in the world in chip sales, not TI.

Kumar is usually one of the strongest in the Intel camp, though.

I saw that paragraph too. Did he factor in the capital expenditure from all the new initiatives? I mean, does Intel's competitor invest capital expenditures in future opportunities like Intel does?
