Eric, your knowledge of the tech marketplace is impressive. Now if you would just do for yourself what we do for each other, you would be able to conduct your dialog here using the models we have chosen very ably. For example:

But the same things could've been said for IBM's mainframe business in the late-'80s as Unix and Netware servers started to gain popularity.

INTC's fight in the marketplace with AMD cannot be compared with IBM's fight of the 80's. UNIX was a discontinuous innovation to IBM's mainframe business. AMD is not a DI to INTC.

We all pretty much understand your perspective. Most of us have had that perspective in the past. We have built on it a perspective that is more productive for those who understand our language. I urge you to stop phrasing your arguments in your native tongue and learn our language. Otherwise you are less than productive here. Our speaking more loudly or slowly to you will not help.

I mean that in the spirit of constructive advice, not as a flame.

Eric,

Preparing to get flamed

A waste of your time and energy. Flaming won't happen on this thread. Your opinions are welcome.
