Cox Communications Deploys Best Data Cable Modems
CHATSWORTH, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 3, 2000--Best Data, an emerging manufacturer in the fast-paced broadband market, announced today that it has a purchase agreement with Cox Communications. The agreement provides for a Cox Communications large volume purchase of Best Data DOCSIS cable modems to be deployed throughout Cox's service area.

Recent research shows consumer demand for broadband exploding in the upcoming years, with predictions of 16 million U.S. households, a quarter of all online homes, using high-speed broadband Internet connections by 2002.
