We are talking about Japan, Peter. That market is separate from the rest of the CDMA market. You think V-series sells in Tokyo? It doesn't. Japanese CDMA phones are designed separately with all the niche problems that creates.

Current subscriber growth of TDMA, CDMA and GSM is nearly identical - TDMA is gaining a little on CDMA. Second generation balance of power is not shifting and the economies of scale are not changing. If you want to predict dramatic future shifts - you are welcome to do so. But you can't build your case on available data.

You can check this up from slacker and Eric L. - they are the most obsessive sub statistics freaks on this site and have that elusive credibility thing.
