I guess I'll know in a week or so just how stupid that was!

The the DJ News story basically affirmed what has been speculated on this thread: that the Cisco official's comments that "handset makers don't need as much flash memory" and that "optical networking companies are getting more" were construed as meaning that flash is now in over-supply. The DJ News story was based on an interview with a H&Q analyst, Sudeep Balain, who doesn't believe the over-supply scenario.
