I guess it might.

Even if it is stupidity, AMD need to publicly respond to a move this extreme.

Almost evrything that AMD management has said in the last 18 months has been borne out to be true. This leads me to the conclusion that the sell off is driven by

I'm guessing this is a flash play. Don't forget that Cisco made that supply announcement yesterday (i.e., that it is increasing). This supports SSB's view of the world and hence some big players may be exiting.
