I agree with most of the rest of what you say. It is a bad time for techs, and you are right that Intel is not at its high. But you have to agree it has held up better than AMAT, AMD, MOT etc. They will all come back. AMD is down 36%. Comebacks from levels like that usually take a long time. I know because I have ridden several Intel dips that large. AMD has to gain 56+% to get back that 36% it has lost.

Frank

In my experience, the hard stock comeback is when a company has screwed up...failed to meet street expectations. In a market sell off like this one, it can be considerably faster. Time will tell.

What crows around comes around. Certain people, who I am sure are really nice guys, make it hard for us to lay off the smart-ass remarks when times get tough.

I understand this completely...I was not one of those guys but I can understand you all wanting to flame at AMD's expense. AMD longs trashed Intel a lot the last few months. It doesn't bother me at all...however neither RMBS nor Intel are immune to what's going on. RMBS has been hit worst than AMD while Intel as the sector leader will be the last to get it but won't go down as hard. Its always the same.

Frank, I for one would really appreciate you laying off the smart-ass remarks - in regards to AMD price action. You're a nicer guy than that. A lot of people are losing some serious money and I see nothing amusing about that.

I'm sure a few have made some unnecessary remarks on Intel in the past - but 1) don't bring yourself to that level and 2) remember you're not just talking to those people when you post here.

Thanks,

David

ps - as for the other smart-ass remarks (not related to AMD price action), please keep them coming. :)
