Jason: SSTI - I doubt they would cancel the split, it would be viewed quite negatively and probably cause some major selling. Before all this market turmoil from a couple years back, splits were done on the basis of company performance and rising EPS numbers ..... not strictly stock price. I was involved in many splits ... most taking place in the $40-$50 range.

That article was quite good on SSTI, very objective and a good read. I disagree that the risks outweight the potential rewards from this price point, but that article was written when SSTI was $80/shr.

Don't feel that you need to purchase a 100% position all at once, break up longer term holding into (3) 33% buys ..... average into in. Some tomorrow, or on stability, the next piece just after or just before the split .... .and then wait for the last piece for either good news or price action.
