I think this is the first milestone payment from Axcan... August 7, 2000 QLT Inc. To Get $5M Milestone Payment From Axcan Pharma NEW YORK -- Axcan Pharma Inc. (AXCA) will pay QLT Inc. (QLTI) a milestone payment of $5 million cash following approval from the Food and Drug Administration for a diode laser for use in photodynamic therapy with the drug Photofrin, which Axcan acquired from QLT in May. In press release Monday, Axcan also said it signed a five-year exclusive development and supply agreement for a new laser developed by Diomed Inc., following the FDA's approval of the laser.
