Avoid the satellite option like the plague. They are extremely oversubscribed, and are currently serving the entire nation with a single transponder on a single satellite.

I'd suggest getting either the cable option or IDSL. IDSL (DSL over ISDN wiring) is available almost anywhere, and offers 144K. It's a pretty good "broadband of last resort".

WIN98SE supports Multilink if your ISP will let you.

My local ISP lets us run it if you pay for two accounts, but some ISPs will not; their system automatically hangs up on the first connection when the second is established.

~100k isn't too bad.

Any ISDN possible? 128k
