surckla, Anand has a much more extensive comparison of the
1.13 GHz (and slower) P3's with 1 GHz (and slower) Athons.
Here's the results, not counting overclocked motherboards:
Benchmark PIII-1133 score/TBird-1000 score
SYSMARK 2000 +11% faster
Quake III Arena (low-res) +11% faster
Quake III Arena (med-res) -0.2% slower
Unreal Tournament (low-res) +7% faster
Unreal Tournament (med-res) +5% faster
Expendable Timedemo (low-res) +4% faster
Content Creation Windows 2000 +0% <identical>
High End Winstone 99 Windows 2000 +5% faster
Quake III Arena (low-res) Win2000 +11% faster
Quake III Arena (med-res) Win2000 -1% slower
Specviewperf Awadvs-03 Viewset -16% slower
Specviewperf DRV-06 Viewset -4% slower
Specviewperf DX-05 Viewset -17% slower
Specviewperf Light-03 Viewset -11% slower
Specviewperf ProCDRS-02 Viewset -8% slower
RC5 'Long Benchmark' Win2000 +6% faster

Summary:
PIII-1133 faster on 8 benchmarks
Athlon-1000 faster on 7, 1 tie
Average benchmark of PIII-1133 relative to Athlon-1000: 0.2% faster

In short, the PIII-1133 is barely any faster than a GHz
Athlon which I could buy at 10 local stores before noontime
tomorrow. Unfortunately, no-one has even a 1
GHz PIII available, let alone a 1.1 GHz one.
