Howdy People!
I'm trying to do a cash flow evaluation on TYK. Does anyone know what percentage the Egyptians get before the group takes their cut? Also, does the Hana oil sell at a discount to Brent? If so, how much? I got in to late today to phone the company but if anyone can help, it will be much appreciated.
TIA

Syria Opens to More Foreigners

SYRIA, Aug 5 (Phillips Business Information) - Syria is opening up to more foreign firms for oil and gas exploration as the country bids to increase activity in the hydrocarbon sector.

Oil minister Mohammed Jamal told London-based Arabic daily newspaper Al- Hayat: "We will be involving more foreign firms in oil and gas exploration activities because we have an interest in concluding contracts with such companies, and make them shoulder part of the risk on behalf of the Syrian side.

"We have already signed a memorandum of understanding with the Canadian firm Dublin which belongs to the multinational group Lundin."

He said an agreement to be signed shortly would allow the firm to operate in the Audeh area in northeastern Syria.

And he added that the government was also involved in talks with a "number of international firms" with a view to concluding similar contracts.

"The Syrian strategy provides for intensifying oil exploration activities by using up-to-date technology with a view to increasing the country's proven oil and gas reserves," Jamal said.

Syria currently produces about 29,000 b/d of oil, of which 17,000 b/d is exported.
