DMA, I agree it is good Gore has shown civility during this week. However, it would be my guess this is contrived in that Clinton is his surrogate and strategist in making the harsh moves.

What do you call Cheney's attack last night on Gore and Clinton?.......why attack your opponent when you're leading in the polls.....Cheney makes out like the last 8 years were years of depression, high interest rates, and runaway inflation.........what else can he attack but the morality of Clinton. He can't touch Gore's pristine family life and commitment to making life better.
