("KLA-V") WESTERN COPPER HOLDINGS LTD ("WTC-T") - Geomex 6 SMX Survey Alberth W. Applegath, President of Kalahari Resources Inc. announces: Geomex-6 (91,816 acres) Faja De Plata, Central Mexico Joint Venture Partner - Western Copper Holdings Limited The following report has been written by geologist, Dr. Tom Patton, President of Western Copper Holdings Limited. Western Copper is currently earning into a 51% interest in the project. GEOMEX 6 SMX SURVEY The Geomex 6 Concessions surround the northern end of the Leon- Guanajuato district presently being explored by Noranda, JMMSA and Penoles. The original large concession totalling 94,282 hectares has been reduced to three smaller claim blocks (plus four small fractions) totalling 37,172 hectares (91,816 acres). Geomex 6 Claims Geochemical sampling of claims A, B, and C using the Barringer SMX partial extraction technique was completed in December 1999. Analytical work was delayed due to a change in ownership of Barringer labs but results of all 564 samples (29 element sample suite) are now complete. All sample data are being sent to you under separate cover. Target areas were selected on the basis of proximity to known mineralisation and/or the presence of gravity highs. Soil samples were taken at 100 meter intervals along lines with a line spacing of one kilometer. Results are summarized below: BLOCK A Total samples: 231 Sample numbers: GX6A-1 through GX6A-231 Results: Three E-W trending lines were completed to cross a well defined gravity anomaly. The strongest anomaly is on line 2 and covers an area of about one kilometer. Within this area, copper, silver, lead, zinc and gold are anomalous, as well as molybdenum, barium, bismuth and nickel. The anomaly does not extend to the lines one kilometer to the north and south but is surrounded by a broad silver-lead-barium anomaly. The line 2 anomaly appears to be situated just west of the centre of the gravity high. A gold-silver anomaly is also present on line 2 east of the same gravity anomaly. BLOCK B Total samples: 133 Sample numbers: GX6B-432 through GXB-431 Results: Line 1 parallels the southwest side of the mineral reserve and lines 2 and 3 were put in just north of the northern boundary. A sharply defined polymetallic anomaly (copper-lead-zinc-gold-silver) was delineated on line 1 over a distance of about 500 meters in a northwest-southeast direction. Its extent to the northeast and southwest is unknown. BLOCK C Total samples: 200 Sample numbers: GX6C.232 through GX6C-431 Results: Weak base and precious metal anomalies occur on all lines, but are neither as strong nor as well defined as the anomalies in Blocks A and B. I recommend drill testing the large anomalies in Blocks A and B using a rotary rig. We plan to initiate work in September-October. PRIVATE PLACEMENT The Company announces that it has closed tranche 1 - 1,500,000 units at $0.,20 per unit for gross proceeds of $300,000 of the non- brokered private placement announced June 5, 2000.
