JNPR getting killed in pre-market. NTAP not exactly dancing a jig.

I've no statistics but my gut feeling is that a market starting 100 pts down closes generally higher than it's at the open. If not it went really ugly in the past.
Agree with your statement considering tomorrow, but it's not too daring to predict this.
The relative strength of SUNW continues, almost green for the whole day, glad that it's my biggest holding and I didn't sell it in the morning.
I like the strong greenback, too. For my Euro account it has soften the Nasdaq downturn substantially (5% up in one week), perhaps I'll start hedging this currency gains.
Some thoughts about NOK: as CSCO in the States it's a core investment for the European tech investor (at least, every talking head on TV recommends it...) Last Thursday after lunch I couldn't believe my eyes seeing it's down 25%. Its chart gave a very clear warning ahead of the curve but, unfortunately, I ignored it. NOK sent the whole European tech sector into trouble immediately (and perhaps the American wireless, too). I went out of margin at once and on the following day I sold my NOK shares (2% of portf.) on the first bounce, now it's falling further despite the announcement of a share buy back program (-> neg. psychology). A great damage is done here and I've neglected my intention to buy it back soon.
Finally, what's your take on AVCI? I'll start nibbling at it.
Thanks for listening,
S.P.
