Still early in the game. We are coming up on 10 mos since the infamous soft launch and we are still alive. We are not in default, we are not in chapter 11, our cfo and ceo are still on board (I asked ir about a rumor re: Tony N leaving and was told emphatically "no way"), there is strong indication that our partners will kick in more money if needed, the sp's are still investing and hiring, the phone works extremely well for voice, data applications at 9600 or more are in the works, voice mail on line by 8/22, coverage in the Carrib including Barbados (the infamous Jim Cramer tarmac story) is imminent, Russia alive today, Saudi coming on soon, and the stock is above $3.00. Iridium couldn't claim one these items at this stage so I am ok. RS and others have compared our stock performance to DISH, Nextel and other emerging technologies and found that those stocks were severely depressed within months after starting commercial service. History indicates that expectations are always greater than reality when things go live. Blunders have certainly been made but I see no indication of anyone backing away. On the contrary, they seem to be making corrections. The G* system is versatile, elegant, and it works better than advertised. It will take alot to convince me that this will not be very commercially viable. There! That is my pep talk for the day.
