Advalorem:

3Com Corp....said it told analysts today its shares could be valued at about $37 to $54 apiece, compared with $14.44 now.

The operative word there is could - if 3Com's businesses were valued at 3-5x revs (slow growing businesses) and 6-10x revs (fast growing businesses), like its "rivals". Dream on.

And I thought 3Com was being cautious and conservative with the street in their guidance, but here they are blowing their horn ahead of showing they can really do it. If they're going to hype the stock, they'd better now deliver the revenues.

COMS is now in the middle of my $15-$20 range, haven't sold any yet. Going to give it a day or so to see if any analyst upgrades are issued as a result of the meetings in Boston yesterday and New York today. Plus ECI number in the morning - if it's OK - will be good for 2-3% on the Nasdaq.

Poop! (again): +$2 1/2 on COMS, -$2 1/4 on PALM, leaves my COMS options $1 down from yesterday! But with ERICY, NOK and MOT all picking up a little lost ground, PALM shouldn't be far behind - I'm not sure why PALM got painted with MOT's brush, but it did.
