ST.PETERSBURG, RUSSIA. The cellular company "St.Petersburg Telecom" providing wireless services under the name of "Fora Communications" announced the introduction in St.Petersburg a digital standard CDMA. On August 1st the testing of the new system began and starting September first CDMA services will be available for customers. The new CDMA network will be developed parallel to the network of standard A-AMPS. In 2001 "Fora Communications" is planning to double the volume of its services.
