Now here's a shoot-out I can get excited about...

In the September 1 issue of PC Magazine they do a comparison of seven 2-D workstations (from Compaq, Dell [2 systems], Gateway, HP, IBM, and Micron).

Now for the good news -- THE WINNER IS AN RDRAM-BASED WORKSTATION!

Now for the bad news -- THE LOSER IS AN RDRAM-BASED WORKSTATION!

Now for the mediocre news -- ALL THE SYSTEMS BETWEEN THE TWO ARE RDRAM-BASED WORKSTATIONS!

Yes, every single system in their shoot-out is an RDRAM-based system. It appears that RDRAM now owns the workstation market.

Remember, new technologies start at the high-end and move down from there.

Dave

Dave B, RE: Assuming that they're reasonable accountants, they're probably already setting aside some reserves of the sales since April 1 (not the full amount, but some).

Any sales reserve is required to be disclosed. MU has reported earnings for both the months of April and May and has disclosed no reserves.
