OT Hi Paul and DMF, I think it was in 1999, one of the heads at MIT said their incoming freshman enrollment was 50% women/50% men in their engineering courses. I believe that was the first time in MIT's history (assuming I heard correctly, which I think I did). A nice uptick from overall 41% which is nice. (Although, he said the number of women entrepreneurs was disturbingly low, < ~5%). Nonetheless, the low university figures do not mask/avoid potential corporate cultural issues.

Regards,
Amy J
