I agree with Kash, in the surface it clearly looks to me that AMD completely screwed up the launch. Maybe it is VIA to blame, but one way or the other it is AMD and its shareholder who suffer.

Kash has been proven to be right on Via. I've subscribed to the 'empowerment' argument that would reward partners and encourage competition vis-a-vis demand. Also recognizing Amd's limited resources on this issue. While I've always believed that *ntel started building its own chipsets for simple market reasons, certainly their stated reason (i.e., can't count on Via) appears to have significant support. It's too bad. I also hate being wrong.

I do think that the slow down in mobile handset and Duron issue is fully priced in to AMD. Forward PE is 10, trailing PE in two months will be 16. The time to sell is long gone. Time to dip the toe again, too bad I am already soaked

I do have some cash left, and I'm thinking of picking up some shares before the split. We may have hit bottom (for the day) as I see datek has us up slightly from the open.
