I don't know who accepts things as fact. But I'm guessing it would be people whose thinking I would consider illogical and irrational. Can't be the people are doing research to overturn what some people think of as established historical facts. Many people in the world think of lots of things as fact, that aren't. The "fact" that many people, or even most people, choose to limit themselves by believing in facts that are not facts does not make those things facts. It makes those opinions or beliefs, general opinions or beliefs, but does nothing to substantiate their existence as facts.
