Steve, It's just my way of helping out since you and Warren seem to do most of the work. I'm sure there are a lot of lurkers like I was before you helped me out. I certainly don't want to take your job. I listen very carefully to your calls. (OT) I sure wish you could give me some guidance on one that is taking me down this year. I kept chasing this AMES. I'm averaged down to 9.03. Buttttttt it dropped at one point to 4 3/4 today. (about 6 now)I chased this thing down from 28. Hind sight is always 20-20. Wish someone could give me some advice. I'm into it as heavy as I was on the old TBR. Keep up your great work! ART

Steve (or should I call you Dr Frankenstein), you've created a monster! <g> Hot subjects tab, here we come.

Just kidding, Art, keep up the postings. You uncovered a release on my beloved Globo Cabo (GLCBY)...so you are a-ok in my book. :-) Welcome aboard.

Worldcom Eyes Tender Offer To Up Stake In
Embratel-Estado

Dow Jones Newswires

SAO PAULO -- Worldcom Inc. (WCOM) is weighing the possibility of
tendering an offer for outstanding shares in its Brazilian unit, Embratel
Participacoes SA (EMT), a top official from the U.S.-based telecom giant
was quoted as saying Friday.

Worldcom Brasil president Luis Fernando Rodrigues told the Estado news
agency the company doesn't, however, plan to close out Embratel's capital
like other groups in the sector have done. Rather, Worldcom simply seeks to
increase its stake in the Brazilian long-distance carrier.

Worldcom acquired a controlling stake in Embratel in July 1998 as part of the
privatization of former Brazilian holding Telebras. The U.S. company has
20% of Embratel's total capital and 51% of all voting, or ordinary, shares

Company officials in Brazil and the U.S. weren't immediately available for
comment.

Embratel preferred shares jumped 3% to close at BRR41.20 Friday, while
ordinary shares gained 3% to BRR32.15. The Estado report was released
after the market close Friday
