<Kent, I'll be willing to bet you just about anything that while worldwide ASPs may possibly drop due to increasing sales to second and third-world countries like China, India, Brazil, etc., ASPs in developed countries will rise over the next three years or so.>

Eric,
I can see this, but if the world goes GPRS, it will be years until any of those capabilities see the light of day, and the prices will dramatically decrease.

Superb analysis, Eric. We're just at the beginning of the age of wireless handheld computing. Compared to the sophistication and processing power of PCs today, handheld devices are like the Apple II. There's a ways to go before these devices even come close to PCs (again, in terms of processing power). The devices capable of digesting the gazillions of bits that everyone is anticipating with such bated breath don't even exist yet. So, yeah, there'll be plenty of room for innovation and differentiation. So far NOK's been able to hold its own in these departments.
