I don't know when the chip will be released. In addition, trust me - there is no such thing as software that will be released without bugs. MSFT has the largest programming staff on the planet, and look at their stuff:-)

The problem with the online office suites is that practically everybody has, and is satisfied with Office. You can get some users, but not enough to justify significant investment. Latency over the network is another problem. MSFT, if they do decide to rent wholesale, will simply end up keeping their market with less profit margin. I don't see them losing much market share. As for needing servers, they won't be buying Sun servers, that for sure.
