ME >>But to the fearful mind, Love is completely and totally irrational/illogical.>> YOU >>Nonsense.> What on earth is the "fearful mind"? You seem to be assuming two things: 1) some minds are innately "fearful", others are not; and 2) fear is exclusively self-protective.>> First answer this question: What is there to fear? I just believe that we really have nothing to fear in this world. All our fears are irrational/illogical. But we will fight like hell to support their continued existence. >>On 1). As my example of war was designed to illustrate, it is not necessarily that certain minds are innately "fearful," but that certain situations are innately more fear-provoking than others. You know, if you haven't walked in their shoes....>> I don't believe we are "born to fear." Natural giving and the blessings of God and nature and love brought us into this world. As soon as we enter this world we start picking up the vibrations of fear all around us. This gets pased down from person to person across the generations. Certain families may have a larger dose of this fear legacy than others. All this is simply an example of people asking for help and support as they attempt to reach for light and love. >>On 2). During wartime, I can assure you, many people are more fearful about what may happen to their children, parents, relatives, etc., than they are about what may happen to them personally. THAT is generally what inspires them to act (to fight, to flee, or whatever). Indeed, I would question whether an individual lacking in HEALTHY fear is really capable of loving anyone else!>> Ok, I agree, but the inspired fighter that reacts to but transcends his fear is doing so from some core value. Fear is always present for the energy flow between everyone won't always be balanced and bi-directional. Some individuals will always think they should be getting more because others have more, etc. This is a simple fear-based example: 1) they have something; 2) I don't have that something; 3) therefor I want that thing because they have it and I don't. When we face a dark sky light appears in short supply. This sense of limits and lack is at the basis of fear. When we face 180 degrees to the light of day there is no sense of short supply. But some people don't want to appreciate the light, preferring to instead dwell on what they don't have relative to what others have. If you reach out, risk and help others there is no room for fear. Just like that guy who risked his life saving his buddy in the war. Peace. ............
