I don't think Sun sells Excel, but (1) I believe Star Office has a compatible spreadsheet (I myself use Lotus 1-2-3, so I haven't played with it), and (2) Sun servers can certainly serve up Excel files to a PC. Over Softie's dead body would be ok by me.

I don't think Microsoft has any special expertise in telecomm, so it's not clear they're spending their money wisely.

JMHO, of course.
