I don't think its "hype"....look at their web site and some of the companies they are working with presently, and projects they have planned in the future. nuancecom.com nuancecom.com Charles Schwab uses their technology..."Charles Schwab & Co. -- one of the largest full-service brokerage firms -- empowers customers to perform investment transactions on their own, at their own pace using Nuance technology. Schwab's formula for success combines the best of electronic commerce and V-Commerce (or voice-driven e-commerce) to provide the ultimate in customer self-service. Schwab has provided voice-recognition retail brokerage services for over four years, enabling their customers to access information and perform transactions over the telephone. Clients simply dial the toll-free number and tell the system what they want in their own words. Today, Schwab's VoiceQuotes system handles over 100,000 calls a day, or greater than 1.5 million calls a month. Schwab was also one of the first to use voice authentication in a retail environment, matching the caller's voice to a stored digital voice print to verify identity. This Nuance Verifierâ„¢ - based system allows customers simply speak a phrase over the telephone to enroll, eliminating the need for personal identification numbers (PINs) and passwords." I usually place stock orders over the computer, but almost two years ago, when I was on vacation and away from my computer, I used the voice enabled telephone system to buy some AMZN stock <g>...on a "market" sell off day. The system worked perfectly! I have now bought and sold NUAN twice since it was mentioned by William. I have sold NUAN not because I don't believe in the company or the product, but because the stock share price has risen so quickly. From past experience it makes me nervous to hold a stock that has risen too quickly in value. I may be wrong, but I think when CMRC went to its "all time highs"...it kept being a target for people to short, and then a "short squeeze" rally would occur. I've recently added a small position in SPWX...and I might add NUAN again, especially if it had a "sell off" day. Finding a NUAN "sell off" day has been nearly impossible. LOL!
