I was hoping to attend Opticon to hear CWN presentation. When it became apparent I was not going to be able to do so I contacted CWN and asked them to send me a copy of their handout material.

Received E-mail from Ilan S saying handout material was available on website and attached to E-mail was a copy of powerpoint presentation I believe he planned to use at meeting.

Great up-to-date slide presentation. Happy to send as E-mail attachment if you can figure out how to give me your E-mail address. Happy to try to put presentation onto message board if someone can suggest how T do it.

Another alternative is to E-mail Ilan at ilan@cwnt.com (think that is CWN address) and request he send you his presentation.

Hi Sector:

Do you have any feel for how the companies will be IPOed and how that will play out for current MRVC holders? Also are different IPO strategies possible for each company?

For example, on this thread we have heard that current holders may be able to buy IPO shares or that shares may be distributed at a later date.

I think it should be considered, because in the one scenario you might fare better preserving capitol to buy shares. In the other it makes more sense to increase ownership in MRVC.

Thanks,

George D.

thanks, sector.... the real purpose of the request was to eliminate your talk of all the conspiracies and "spooks". <VBG>
i think your estimated valuation could be accurate, given the right environment. don't forget, they were targeting 1Q01 (according to chet white) for their ipo. one of the puzzling things is chet had suggested in the june 14th research that CW would make several positive announcements regarding the addition of 2 new beta sites and the close of the second round funding. he was correct. but, why not give names? seems like everyone else does. i know, i'm starting to sound like john... <g>
possibly, if the beta sites are also strategic investors, they'd prefer to hold it close to the vest for awhile (the strategic investors, that is). heck, you never know where that might take them. possibly one of the strategic investors liked the beta so much they want to take on the whole ball of wax (where the heck did that saying come from?)
either way, ipo, or takeout, i think CW is going to be a hot property in a market that is supposed to be valued at $2.1bil this year and $12bil by '03. while i'm sure all the big boys have products in development, it sure sounds like CW is further along in the process. if someone wants to be in the large router section with CSCO and JNPR, they may have to purchase the technology. guess we'll find all this out by Q1....
