I had to go back and reread my post to you to see where you possibly could have gotten the idea that I was mad or judging you, for I in the writing was aware of feeling neither!
Perhaps you enjoy this belief that you are making people mad? I said I was aggravated and perplexed at the exchange. It had nothing to do with YOU, for I don't know you, but there is a certain resonance of the 60s in your "philosophy" that me smile.

Perhaps I'm suffering, former flower child that I am, from the bias of having been exposed to too much "I'm OK, You're OK" 60s and 70s pop psychology. My alarms go off when people talk a great deal about love love love and yet seem to believe that only they have arrived at the source, the meaning, and the correct response. The "light" goes by many names and is found in many places and I would think that that answers are very individual.

Regarding avoiding one's voice.. I was not advocating this at all. There is a huge difference between genuine, often painful, self-examination and the comfort of knowing oneself, and the sort of maudlin I Gotta Be Me emoting that passes for introspection today.

I don't mean this to necessarily refer to you--as I said, I don't know you and you seem like a genuinely nice person-- but it is so often the case that people who write and talk about how much good they do, or how much love they spread, or how happy they are, don't and aren't.
