Mika, about the Ericy R280LX--surfing works fine. Phone very capable...but battery life is very poor. I got the extended battery (bulky NiMH--no Li ion) and I still only get 2 days on light use. I miss the 10 days on my 6160. PS. This just in> 07:30 ET LM Ericsson (ERICY) 18 1/16: Sees handset sells possibly coming in below 45 mln units for the yr, vs the 45-50 mln units the company had previously forecast.

Mika: Enjoy your holiday. But since there has not been any repeat any GSM base in Japan, DoCoMo is not building on GSM, but is building on its unique Japanese base - which again, is not GSM. Other parts of the world are different where there is GSM. But why is WCDMA first (DoCoMo's "nonstandard" version) where GSM is not? Best and respect. Chaz
