that I can not argue - demand is hard to predict and I hate when Jerry overextend himself, as he often does, myself.

I can not argue any point short of that amd is planning to increase their market share. Considering the growth (we can dream) in demand and that the total number of amd units is not that different from this quarter amd might be even aiming at loosing some market share but offering a different mix with higher asps.

Two comment:
1) 2 years back when Jerry was aiming at selling at high-end retail by the end of this year where there was no amd at all that did not sound like a realistic goal for such a short period of time. But I think he gone ahead of schedule on that
2) when he decided to go with ev platform there were a doubts that he would get any support at all - I doubted it myself. Yet (the article is somewhere on moderated amd thread) taiwanese manufacturers expect 25%(all k7s) of their products to support amd by the end of the year and they have more than 50% of the market.
