SAO PAULO, Aug 4 (Reuters) - Brazil's real currency nudged stronger
against the dollar in early trade on Friday buoyed by inflows of the U.S.
currency, traders said.

The real gained 0.1 percent to 1.793 reais per dollar, from 1.794 reais at
Thursday's close.

"The market opened with investors selling (dollars)...We may be seeing an early
inflow of funds," said one local trader.

Traders also said fixed-income markets opened on a positive note on Friday
after the testimony of a key witness in a public graft scandal on Thursday failed
to throw up any new developments in the case.

Congress interrogated former presidential aide Eduardo Jorge on his alleged
ties to a fugitive judge who's accused of siphoning up to $100 million from a
courthouse construction project. The scandal has threatened to implicate the
presidency and has rattled investors' nerves over past days.
