I am sick and tired of my buggy gateway destination that crashes windows everyday since february of 1997 when I bought the darn thing (almost 3 grand at the time i think). Scandisk takes 15+ minutes before the computer turns on. It is not uncommon that my computer freezes up 6-8 times a day and have to go to scan disk...very frustrating. When I tried to update windows and microsoft office utilities ...not only did it not work but screwed up my preexisting applications and programs on my PC... I was told by Gateway that they do not offer support for these "upgrades" It is total ridiculous that Microsoft Office components cannot be unistalled and reinstalled without have to reformat the hard drive (done by me on more than one occasion). I can't wait to format my hard drive of this peice of cr*p for the last time to it's factory settings.... so maybe just maybe I can use it as a word processor. Gateway computers may not suck but my Gateway computer sure does. I will probably never buy a Gateway again and just purchased a 1 GHz Dell Dimension 4100 Cheers, Url
