That interview of Paul Johnson is a must-read for any Gorilla Gamer. There are a dozen quotes I could have snipped to pique your interest. I chose one of the more general ones thinking it might be appealing to a wide readership:

Question: In sum, to keep the discussion in the Gorilla Game context, are we entering the broadband “tornado” – the phase of massive adoption of a new platform?

Answer: We believe the tornado is right before us, so people should not be waiting but should be actively investing. Winners and losers generally emerge in this phase. It will not be dissimilar to the tornado that Cisco addressed and emerged from as the leader, yet it is likely that this much larger technology transition will create more than one Cisco.

not talking about margin:
If you held only qcom and you bought it above 150, your portfolio is down by over 50%. I call that "almost wiped out"; also if you bought leaps....they have lost value tremendously.
There is definitely a difference once you have made a lot of money, in what you might want to do, even if you have made the money in a buy and hold gorilla strategy.

the buy is done with cash and not borrowed funds. I'm not saying that there isn't a place for margin but if it is used it definitely alters the stategy.

how ya been?
thanks for the post...

i am going to add..."if it is used indefinitely", it definitely alters...
